From Automation to CRM

I just started with ActiveCampaign, so I am trying to figure out how everything works.

I just created a Contact Form for my website, and have initiated an automation for when they submit that form. I would then like them to be sent to my CRM so I can track progress with them (know to contact them, then how the interactions are going). When I try to “Add a Deal” in automation, it makes me have to create a deal with contact info, however this info hasn’t been received yet because it is supposed to come through prospects via my website.

So, how do you put people into the CRM when they submit a form? Is it manual only, or is there a way to spit them into it via automation?

You were on the right track. You were correct on the automation, but in the"Add a Deal" step, for the name portion, you can select a custom field to input the proper contact information. See image below:

Ahh, I see. That wasn’t showing up before for me. It kept taking me to the Deal pipeline itself saying that none were created even though they were. I think this is a browser caching issue on my end though. Thank you!
