Free Email course CRAZY deep automation. Can we do this with AC?

First… I’ve just read this article and found it extremely hypnotic: The anatomy of a six-figure email course

It’s a long one (I know) but goes into extreme detail on how the author niches down his audience through specific stuff made with Drip. Hey, I’m not planning on moving to another email tool (I 'm loving the AC experience), but I want to know if what they are doing with Drip, we can do it with AC, because if we can, I’d be starting right away!!

Things he’s doing:

  1. Create an specific ‘pitch’ mail sequence to start every Monday at 10am with a limited-time offer, to all those that have received an email course he’s been sending prior to that(9 + 2 previous emails). How can we do this?

  2. In this ‘pitch’ limited-time offer sequence (like 5-6 emails), he inserts a timer with the time left to take advantage of it (independent of your timezone, you’ll be getting the right “clock”). Can this be done with AC or another tool using AC data?

  3. He also sends a ‘bridge’ sequence with 2 mails sent one the first Tuesday after completing the previouse email sequence, and the next one 2 days after that. I guess this can be an easy one… How can I program those couple emails to go out those precise weekdays?

  4. Interactivity. He’s created some ‘worksheets’ that the user completes online, and send them back to the user in a mail. The funny stuff is that he’s using those answers to change the contents of emails, based on the selection the user has done in the site. I’m sure I can keep the answers in specific custom fields in the AC database (don’t know exactly how; I’m one of those that use the email + name forms and that’s pretty much it), but, how can I set conditions in the email contents to show an specific wording if a user custom fields contains “web developer” or “business coach”. This is mindblowing to me. Can we do it?

  5. Same thing as the previous point, but using the content of custom AC fields as conditions to show different content in a website. Same Q.

  6. In the main email sequence he sends an email a day, but if someone fills the worksheet related to today’s email now, the automation sends the next email right away; yo don’t have to wait 1 day for the next mail. I guess this can be done with goals, maybe? If so, … how?

  7. He puts the non buyers in a 6 month email sequence, but he’s added the condition that if someone reads 3+ articles/emails from this automation, he pauses it, and sends a secondary email sequence with a pitch, and then unpauses the 6 month sequence to continue with the following email. How can I set this conditional pause to a sequence and restart it again, regardless of where you are in the main sequence?

After reading the article, I’m amazed at what we can achieve, and definitely want to dig much much deeper into this. Hope you guys can help me do something like this in our environment, and guide me on how to work this out.

Thanks in advance, and I hope this challenge is worth it.

Cheers!!
Luis

Yes! You can do this. Use a “wait until” to match Monday at 10am. Check out “The Double Wait” from this post:

Yes! Save the date the offer expires as a custom field on the contact, and you can do some pretty neat things with personalization tags in email (like %EXPIRES% - 2)

For more information on personalization tags, check out this help doc:

Yes! Same as the “wait until,” and you will probably want to use “goals” as well.

Yes! You want to use personalization tags again, and “conditional content.” Conditional content displays certain “blocks” in the email designer depending on if the custom fields match.

Same answer

You are correct, Goals is what you are after. You would want to send an event, or update a custom field, or add a tag, or any other number of ways. In the goal condition, say “jump when the criteria is matched” (paraphrase)

There are a few ways to take advantage of this. The first is to take advantage of Contact Scoring for the 3 open email (or any other type of engagement score) check out these two blog posts:

  1. Lead Scoring Software: Qualify The Best Leads | ActiveCampaign
  2. http://www.activecampaign.com/blog/engagement-scores-part-ii-engagement-segments/

This should be a good starting point! As a good next steps, I will let you attempt to struggle productively on your own, and encourage you to follow-up with specific areas you would like me to dig into the details on, as each one of these topics could go pretty deep.

In general though, I think you will find it much easier to accomplish this in ActiveCampaign than elsewhere.

Good luck!

Ok @jskole

I’m officially pumped!!!

The only question I need more information on is the one with the conditional content but in webpages. I don’t see how it’s the same answer because "how can I conditionally change texts based on ActiveCampaign data in my wordpress page? I’m mising the tech necessary to set AC conditions inside a wordpress page.

Apart from that, your answer is game changer for me. Loads of work to do, but looking great

Thanks!!

Hey @emprendedores,

Ahhh! Yes, you will need to use a tool like @ActiveMember360 ActiveMember360 or Memberium to make that possible.

Bob Keen is the founder and a member of these forums, so hopefully he can jump in with some specifics.

Hi @emprendedores I am going to be building the same automation you are after. Do you have any insights to share based on your experience?
