Hello - we download form submission data into MS excel. But the export has a whole heap of irrelevant data. Is there a way to just download the form data?
Hi @necsws337842 Thanks for reaching out! Can you share how you’re exporting that information currently? I’m guessing you may be exporting your contact data as a CSV, in which case I would expect it to include quite a lot of additional contact information. I would recommend you consider triggering an automation with the form submitted trigger - you can then use our integration with Google sheets to map just your preferred form fields to a sheet, which you can then download on demand without having to delete the additional information!
Please let me know if you’re doing something different, and I’ve misunderstood what you need to accomplish so I can take another look!

Hello Yes, that’s correct, we do actually hit ‘view contacts’ and then export. We don’t use Google sheets, we use Microsoft. Is there integration with Excel or is there another work around to just get just the form submission data? We were looking at getting Zapier, might this be the option?
Thanks for confirming! I suggested Sheets, because it would allow you to instantly download the same CSV file type as a contact export so you can open it in another program like Excel. I do believe that Zapier does offer an integration with Excel and does have actions to add a row or create a new Spreadsheet. It might be worth checking them out on a free trial to see if those actions give you all of the mappable data points etc that you need. My gut is that it might be a good solution to streamline things if the end goal is the Excel file! Here is a link so you can take a closer look at the triggers and actions more closely!
