Firstname tag not working

Hello,
I did use %FIRSTNAME% tag at the start of my email, but the whoever gets that email instead of that person name %FIRSTNAME% tag applied, so can you please guide through about it.

Hey zeropainnow,

Biannca here from our CX team, to add on top of our Community Admin’s post - you want to use the personalisation tag button in the designer to add the Personalisation Tag. If you’re copying and pasting or typing out the tag, sometimes the tag doesn’t rendering correctly.
