Event tracking based on site tracking cookie

Hi,

I was wondering if it’s possible to use the site tracking cookie to identify the contact on my website and use this information for event tracking.

My issue is people don’t login on my website, but I still want to be able to track events. Since AC is tracking the contact with site tracking (tested and verified), it only seems logical to me I can use some information to identify this user for event tracking as well. However, I am unable to find out how…

I can see the cookie placed by AC, but the value has some hash which isn’t the contact hash. So I still can’t identify a person this way.

Would love to hear some ideas

+1 this is pretty ridiculous that you need the email if the user is already identified and being tracked with site tracking.

Share the user id from site tracking so we can do event tracking and do API-calls with that ID.
