Double Opt-In only once

Hi!
We are still in the middle of setting AC up and so far it has been fun - and a steep learning curve. Unfortunately, I have just encountered a problem for which I cannot find a solution for - and I hope you can help me. :slight_smile:

As we are based in Europe, double opt-in is a must. Triggering it via a form also works perfectly. However, the problem is that every time a different form is sent, and a different list is subscribed to, the DOI confirmation email is sent again - even if the contact has already given their general consent. Now the question: Is it possible to retrieve the DOI status and only if no consent has been given for this or another list is the DOI mail sent?

I have tried it via an automation that triggers via a ‘tag’, which has generally worked. But unfortunately, the confirmation link is not clickable - although it was set correctly in the template (%CONFIRMATIONLINK%). Andtherefor I am back at square one.

Hi,
In this case, and if you need more control over opt-ins on different lists, I think it’s best to implement the double opt-in process via automation rather than activating the opt-in on the forms themselves. This way, you can activate conditions based on whether the contact has already double opted in on a previous list.

Exactly my thoughts. The test unfortunatly didn’t go as planned, as the required confirmation links weren’t click-able. I’ll give it another try, maybe I just used the wrong link. (%CONFIRMATIONLINK%)
