Hello, I have a team workflow where we use tablets and shared computers to enter leads by our sales force. I have created an activecampaing native form and simply shared the link to my team. This is the easiest way I have found to add a contact, tag, subscribe, and start an automation all in one step.
Problem: if the volume is too big on one device the captcha appears, then eventually we have to do the ‘select the picture test’ for every new entry. Is there a way to disable the captcha?
The form does not have the captcha included when I configure the form
We don’t have ipad so I can’t use the ios app.
I can probably solve this by using a third party form but I need to keep costs down, and minimize zapier
CAPTCHA will be enabled if one of the following conditions are met:
3 or more submissions in the last minute from the same location/IP address
10 or more submissions in the last hour from the same location/IP address
This is done to protect your account from Spambots. You may want to set up some separate IP addresses to allow the submissions to come in without triggering the CAPTCHA.
Thanks, and please let us know if you have any questions!
That isn’t a reasonable solution. How do you setup “separate IP addresses” when you are on the floor of an event with people waiting in line to signup for a giveaway… I need to have an IT person on hand to monitor signups per hour. Also, it isn’t easy to force your ISP to assign you a new IP, that is why Captcha uses it to block spam.
If I have 5 tablets connected to the same hotspot, they will all have the same IP, so your quota will apply to the combined submissions.
10 submissions an hour is not very much. There should be a way for users to accept the risk of spambots to make these forms more practical in real world scenarios. For me the risk is spambots is low because I put this on a non indexed, hard to find page.
I spoke with our Support team, and they may have a workaround that our Development team can put in place for this specific instance. Please send an email to help@activecampaign.com, and they will take care of the rest.
