Date Based Trigger Question

I set up an automation for a webinar, in which email is triggered by a certain date and time. The automation runs for 2 weeks. If someone joins the list in the middie of the timeframe, will they automatically skip the emails that have dates that already passed? For instance, the automation begins on 7/21 and ends on 8/2. If they sign up on 7/24, I want them to automatically get the email on that day, rather than start at the beginning. Let me know if that’s possible!
