So I created a very simple automation that just sends out an email when the contact joins the list. For this automation, I did not create an “end automation” action, so now I have a bunch of contacts that are 100% complete this automation, but they’re still “in” the automation. I added the “end automation” action after the fact, but my contacts won’t move to the final step of “end automation”?
How do I get my contacts to exit the automation so that I know they are no longer in it.

The “End automation” action is more of a “note to self” than it is a requirement. In other words, once your contacts reach the end of the automation, the automation ends regardless of whether the “End automation” action is there. If it says “100%” then that means the automation is complete.
But, either way, this is how you’d do it…
First, do an Advanced Search for the contacts that are “Currently in” the automation.
Then open Bulk Edit by clicking “Edit All.”
Then select “Remove from automation.”
