Yesterday we created a zap where contacts are automatically added/updated in AC and added to an automation when they sign up for a current webinar. Shortly after we sent out the first email, the Zap had an error and stopped so a bunch of contacts didn’t get added/updated or added to AC and the automation. We were able to fix the zap but for some reason it didn’t catchup and was still missing about 100 contacts today. I then downloaded the list of registered contacts from click funnels and manually imported it to AC, selecting “add to automation” on import. Knowing over half of them were already in AC and the automation, I didn’t have “update contact” ticked so I believed AC would skip adding them if they were already in the database but if it didn’t, I thought AC would at least pick up if they had already been in the automation and wouldn’t add them again. It seems it did add them twice and therefore sent them the first email again. They are now all queued for the next step which is in a few weeks.
Is there a quick way to remove the contacts that are in there 2 times so they don’t get the subsequent emails twice or do I need to do this manually by completing the automation for them 1 at a time?
Or is another option to remove them all (they are tagged) and then re-add them to the next point in the automation?
Hope that makes sense! Would love to hear thoughts on the best way forward. Thank you!
