We’re trying to diagnose an issue that has affected about 20% of our database and seems completely random…
Contacts in our database are having their First Name’s changed somehow. Random, right?
They aren’t being changed to anything related, similar names, synced with profiles on other channels such as Facebook etc. Absolutely random - EG John to Judy, Dave to Annette.
The worst part about this is that it’s also updating the records in our Shopify store, so we’re getting contacts returning errors across both platforms.
We’ve checked ALL integrations and switched them off one-by-one to diagnose the issue and it appears it’s the direct integration with Shopify. Unfortunately, we can’t get a great deal of transparency around the updates on contacts and exactly what is causing them.
IS there a way to determine more detail on contact activity than what is presented in the current contact dashboard? Or coming the other way, ability to identify information updated in Shopify as a result of the AC integration?

We’ve checked all the data synced between both, none of them update the first name field. We’re at a bit of a loss as to where to go next and how to diagnose the exact issue. Support hasn’t been able to assist in the issue and state they don’t have any additional information on how contacts are being updated if it’s via an integration? Surely this seems a bit odd if something happens to the customer data.
