Up until a week or so ago, the chrome extension with gmail worked great. now i suddenly notice that although the two activecampaign buttons are there for newly composed emails, they are missing for replies or forwarded emails. there is no point in having a ‘saved reponses’ feature if you can’t respond with it! I have tried reinstalling the extension, clearing the cache e.t.c. to no avail.
Hey! That’s frustrating — especially when it was working fine before.
Here is what I would suggest trying:
1. Check Chrome Extension Permissions
- Go to Chrome → Extensions → ActiveCampaign extension
- Click “Details”
- Make sure “Allow access to site data” is set to “On all sites”
- Verify it has permission to read and change data on mail.google.com
2. Pop Out the Reply Window
- Click the arrow icon to open the reply in a new window
- The buttons sometimes only appear in full-screen compose, not inline replies
3. Check for Extension Conflicts
- Temporarily disable other extensions (especially ad blockers and privacy tools)
- Test in an Incognito window with only the AC extension enabled
If none of these work:
Contact ActiveCampaign Support at https://help.activecampaign.com with:
- Your Chrome version
- Extension version
- Screenshots showing it works in new emails but not replies
