Check for: Already signed up and then mail?

I am running some campaigns for different services. Sometimes people sign up to the same list twice. How can I make an automation that check if people are already signed up on a specific list and then mail them ex. “you are already signed up. You can find your stuff my logging in”. I Cant find any rules that check if a member tries to sign up to the same list twice?

Hi there, Amy from ActiveCampaign’s Customer Experience Team. We’re just refreshing our forum page and I wanted to add some help here for anyone who comes across this page/question/post.

It actually isn’t possible to subscribe to a list if you are already subscribed to the list and currently we don’t have an option to note if a contact was subscribed in the past.

I would highly recommend that you share this idea here https://ideas.activecampaign.com as our developers are always looking to ways to improve the platform for our users.
