I looked around but nobody seems to have postes anything about this topic. Opologies in case I’m wrong.
I have a long autoresponder automation with many emails. At the end of each email, there’s a call to action (CTA).
50% of the CTA are unique, related to that very email. 50% of the CTA are the same for every email (download another lead magnet about a specific product).
I was wondering if there’s the chance to create a block that, when edited, is atomatically modified in each email where it is included.
For example: let’s say that I discontinue the lead magnet that I’m currently promoting in 50% of the emails of my automation. Instead of manually modifying each block containing the CTA, I’d just modify one block and insert a CTA to a new lead magnet, and that automatically updates in each email.
We do have a feature that would be helpful for this. It’s called a Message Variable.
If you click “Campaigns” in the top menu and then click the dropdown, you’ll see the option to Edit Message Variables:
Message variables can house anything… code, text, CTA offers, conditional content, etc. so they’re very flexible and useful. Just put whatever content you want into the message variable, then place the message variable into your campaigns (or automation emails). When you want to edit that content, edit the message variable’s content and it will automatically update the content in all the campaigns that contain the message variable.
Thanks so much for your answer. I didn’t see it until eaduardobeta replied.
THis is exactly what I needed: PERFECT!!!
@eduardobeta: I just tested it, and I’m quite convinced it works for automations too. In the section “campaigns” highlighted in Brian’s screenshot you can create the message variable and name it. I Called it “prima variabile”. Then, with the tag
%prima-variabile%
I was able to integrate it in an email automation i just tested.
