Hi All.
Please assist with some ideas:
I am wanting to pause an automation (or keep it open) until I add some additional mails.
My Strategy is to WAIT until a TAG is added. However, when I add the TAG, the contacts remain at the WAIT condition. Is this the correct strategy?
This is a simple test setup:
An easier way to do this when you are still building an automation is this:
SEND EMAIL
WAIT FOR 99 YEARS
Then when you want to add another email to the automation, just change the wait time to 5 minutes and everyone will flow right through.
Much easier I think.
You can stack multiple waits that way.

Hi there, Amy from ActiveCampaign’s Customer Experience Team. We’re just refreshing our forum page and I wanted to add some help here for anyone who comes across this page/question/post.
You can certainly stack multiple wait steps but one easy trick is to make the automation ‘inactive’ > add any additional steps > make active again (at the top right-hand corner).
So long as your contacts are in a wait step, they will ‘pause’. if any of the contacts are due to exit, they will not exit until the automation has been reactivated.
