Automation: email not sending after tag added

Hi, I created an automation in such a way that once a tag is added to a contact, that contact enters an email funnel. The first email gets sent out, then I wait a few days, then the second email, etc., until the automation ends (see attached image).

On my website I have a form where the user enters their name and email address, via Zapier this causes a contact creation/update in AC. Once I submit the form, I see my email and the newly added tag in AC, but AC doesn’t send the first email. I have no idea why. Seems to me like a glitch on AC side, but maybe you can help me out in case I overlooked something? Why does this happen?

The contact’s status is active.


When I look at the contact’s path through the automation, AC says that the contact is still being processed and that “This contact has entered the automation but has not completed any actions yet”. What actions?

This automation was last triggered 9 hours ago. So it’s not like AC needs a bit of time to get the email out …
