Automation based on sent email

Hello!

I love Activecampaign and the automations, and been using greatly for 2 years. Unfortunately, only now I figured I dont know simples things:

  1. I need to start an Automation using a already sent email (single campaign) and starting filter who read this email. How do I start it? Since I only sent the email I didn’t tagged anyone.

  2. I need to start an automation on a specific date. I put the conditions of day, time, year, month and week under conditions and it is not working for me.

Hi Filipe,

Regarding #1 - one way to do this is to:

  1. Create an automation that starts when a specific tag is applied
  2. Go to your email campaign reports, view the “Opens”, and then export that list by clicking “Export” at the top, right of the page.
  3. Re-import the list of opens, applying the “start tag” from step #1. You can either add a column to your export file and fill it with the tag name, or apply the tag using the field in the import wizard. Make sure you check the box that says “Update existing subscribers while importing”.

Regarding #2 - where are you putting the date conditions? Are you doing a “Wait Until” inside of your automation?
