I’m looking into setting up an automation to help manage one of our lists. List members need to be current active members of our organization, and we have a custom field from our database mapped to AC that indicates whether their membership is current or not.
I’m wondering if I can set up an automation that will detect members of that list who are not current, and unsubscribe them from the list. I also want to know if that member purchases a current membership, can we resubscribe them to this list easily?

There’s a lot of “depends” in this answer.
Do you already have that custom field mapped into ActiveCampaign?
If so, which database are you using, and how did you connect them?
If the field is already there, you could use the “field status changed” trigger in your automations.
If their status changes to “member”, then start the automation.
If their status changes to “non a member”, then start another automation.
Etc.
Which platform do they use to purchase your memberships? If it integrates with Zapier or Make/Integromat, then you could update a field in ActiveCampaign and start an automation.
There’s lots of “it depends” without more information

In other words, no answer. Some of the simplest routines are so difficult in AC.
There might be one for the original post. Their post was just a bit light on the details so it’s hard to give a blanket answer.
