I’m just getting started here and want to create an automation that will assign a Tag to a user who enters name and email on any form (to access a download and password to a password-protected area of my site) but does NOT check the ‘yes’ to subscribe checkbox i.e does not want me to mail them again in the future.
The idea is I will then immediately be able to easily locate and delete these contacts from the database in line with GDPR compliance.
This is one of the permutations I’ve tried but nothing is working. Any help would be hugely appreciated.
Here’s a screenshot:

The screenshot didn’t come through for some reason, but I think we can still help! Will this be an ActiveCampaign form? If so, you can actually set up an automation with the start trigger “Submits a form,” and then have the automation split based on whether or not they selected yes. If they selected yes, you can just end the automation. If they did not select yes, you can go ahead and apply the tag for GDPR compliance.
If it isn’t an ActiveCampaign form, you can use either Subscribes to list as the start, or a tag, depending on your integration. The rest of the workflow will be the same.
Let us know if this works for you, or if you’ve got any questions or concerns about the set up!
