AC sync to SF(Salesforce)

Hello AC Community,

I have successfully setup a sync between SF to AC. Our SF leads are matching up to our AC Contacts perfectly. The issue that I am having is when I fill an empty field in AC then I wait an hour for SF to sync and since my SF lead doesn’t have any data in that field it deletes the content that I had in AC. Now if I fill in the information on SF and wait an hour for AC to sync it populates correctly on my AC contact.

My questions is does AC sync data back to SF or is it only a one-way sync SF to AC?

I have been testing for 6 hours, any assistance would be great!
