So ConvertKit is $29/month for 1000 subscribers. They have great marketing with popular bloggers in my niche doing lots of webinars selling the virtues of ConvertKit. I’m just wondering if anyone has any insight on if ConvertKit is better than AC and worth the money or if its just good marketing.
I don’t have the numbers right in front of me, but if memory serves ConvertKit has something in the way of 14 automation triggers vs. Active Campaigns 20. AC is just more robust when it comes to automation from what i’ve seen.
I signed up for a Convertkit trial just out of mild curiosity…because I was interested in getting a copy of the Authority ebook that was offered free with the trial sign up (I still wrestled with doing the trial as they were asking for a cc#).
Convertkit seems to be targeting “bloggers”. I’d say ActiveCampaign is targeting “business” - more of an enterprise-class but doesn’t have the hassles of InfusionSoft.
I agree with @mjippersiel.
And I’d like to add that ConvertKit’s hidden USP is simplicity. So bloggers can quick get up and running without any need for advanced features and be running.
Thing is, AC is also simple to get going but when you look at ConvertKit’s interface, it gives you that feeling of simplicity.
I’ve tried going the group several time. I click the “Join Group” button, it changes to “Pending” then when I check back it has changed back to “Join Group”. Not sure how to contact the group.
In the spirit of providing insight on this question about ConvertKit vs ActiveCampaign - the ConvertKit platform is very limited in terms of features/integrations as opposed to ActiveCampaign and more useful for creators.
Hopefully, these two resources can help you make a decision between which platform to lean towards. Please don’t hesitate to reply back out or email us at help@activecampaign.com if you have any further questions about ActiveCampaign plans and features.
