Tag numbers not matching segment

Does anyone have any advice on why the number of users tagged with a specific tag doesn’t match the number of people the email is sent to when I create a segment with just that one tag?

I have been doing email marketing for years, but new to ActiveCampaign and I can’t figure out what’s going on. There are no unsubscribed within the list…

There can be a few reasons I know:

  • If you have more lists - you must select all of them when you create a campaign,
  • unsubscribed - are not in list - but still have the tag,
  • address in the Exclusion list
    I don’t know what else :slight_smile:

If you’re clicking “View Contacts” button in a segment, it disregards the lists selected in the Campaign section. For more information, see our help guide.
