Split Testing / No winner chosen after given time period / Stop campaign after re-send

Hi there,
so I have accounted some difficulties with the Split Test feature.
I set up a Split Test campaign to test two different subject lines. Each would be sent to 10% of the list respectively.
The winner of these two subject lines should be chosen based on better opening rate after 5 hours and then be sent to the remaining 80% of the list.
But instead of chosing the winner after 5 hours, nothing happened until the next day. So the winner was not chosen and the campaign was not sent out to 80% of my list.
There was no indication on why no winner had been chosen so I decided to stop the campaign.
Now the second issue: I then wanted to resend the campaign through the “Resend campaign” feature, unfortunately not realizing this would send out the campaign as another split test. Now there is no “Stop button” anymore, because this resent campaign does not appear under the main campaign overview on AC, it only shows in the reports section and there I cannot edit or stop it…

To summarize:

  • Why was my split test campaign not sent out to the remaining list after my chosen time period of 5 hours?
  • How can I stop a campaign that was sent out through the “Resend campaign” feature?

Thanks for your help!

My first “Split Test Campaign” measured the right way, but send out the looser email! The developers are investigating for two weeks now…

And what do you want with a chart that only shows the data of ONE of the campaigns!? A chart is there to compare visually all the data!

Hey Mona! Sorry we missed this when it was originally published, but in the spirit of providing insight on this question, I’ll be happy to take a look!

When it comes to the split test campaign feature, it allows you to see which version of your email resonates the most with your audience by comparing different versions of your campaign. Some example use cases are:

  1. Split test email subject lines and/or “From” information.
  2. Split test email subject lines, “From” information, and email content.
  3. You can customize each test to your liking and then configure the settings based non your business needs. HERE is our detailed article for extra insights about this process.
