Seeking Advice on Differentiating Between Genuine Link Clicks and Email Protection Software

Hello Everyone,

I’m facing a challenge distinguishing between actual people clicking links and email protection software doing the same. I have an automation set up that tracks contacts who click links, among other activities, and categorizes them into a “High Engagement” deal. However, I’ve noticed that multiple contacts sometimes click all the links simultaneously, skewing the numbers and giving our sales team a false indication of who is genuinely interested in our service. Many people use email software that checks every link, and ActiveCampaign seems to count these as legitimate clicks.

Does anyone have any tips or tricks to help address this issue?

Thank you!

Great question. I am wondering the same.

My email opens and click rates have jumped significantly in the past 2 months. And, quite frankly, I don’t believe the numbers!

What’s changed and how do we get a “real” action rate?
