I’m trying to figure out a better way to get reports on brand new contacts added. I’ve done a few things here and there that connect to a Google Sheet and track leads etc but I’m not sure if those are NEW people. I’m often asked about “how many new people did we get this week” so it would be great if anyone had some tips on the best way to figure this out.
Some of that info is under contact trends but I don’t see anyway to export it.
Biannca here from our CX team, sorry we missed this when it was originally published.
In the spirit of providing insight on this question, we do have a Contact Trends Report (under Reports > Contacts) that provides insights into the number of new contacts per week (report example: https://screen.ac/2Nu8dLR6). You can read more about the reporting, in Contact trend report explained.
Just a note: the reporting numbers here are not exact/absolute numbers but a rough indicator of trends/comparisons of contacts.
If you want absolute/exact number of contacts created per week, the workaround is to create a segment to look for contacts created after / before X date ranges. Here’s an example of how the segment will look like: https://screen.ac/E0ueG18J. Once you have this segment, you can export the contacts and manipulate the data into a report via an external application.
