Offering newsletter choices to subscribers

I have a relatively simplistic setup right now, with one primary list and some straightforward automations. In short, all new subscribers receive the same thing, regardless of source (with one small exception).

I am now looking to provide a little more choice to my subscribers. As one example, I want to provide a digest-type subscription, where the subscriber can choose either daily, weekly or monthly. I have other topic-specific options in mind too, relevant to my niche.

I am just starting to research this. I assume, under the covers, this is all about tagging subscribers appropriately and supporting automations. But I am unclear on where/how I present a UI for subscribers to make their choices? Options that spring to mind include links within emails I sent (seems somewhat clunky) and a web page that allows them to choose (would need to be on my site and branded appropriately).

This seems like a common scenario so I am wondering if there is any documentation or “blueprint” that would kick start my research on adding this for my subscribers.

Thanks.

Hi @perfectbee,

I recently wrote this blog which discusses some strategies on how to give your customer what they want. In your specific scenario it would be how often they wish to receive the digest, instead of the book genre used in the example. I think this would be a good and simple option for you to look into.

Let me know if that clears up your question, otherwise we can work on a different solution.
