Handling Bounces / OOO Replies for the sending email

Hi there! First time posting on here. Not sure if this topic has ever been covered.

We send our emails out using ActiveCampaign, from a leader’s email. We do that so the sender name and email address match up, to garner trust (and not get sent to spam), etc. Issue is, they are receiving the bounces and OOO replies every time we send something out. Is there anyway those can be routed to our “reply to” (a different team member’s) email instead?

I’m very new to this email marketing platform so I’m not sure if it’s a functionality ActiveCampaign offers or if it’s even feasible tech wise. Any suggestions or advice appreciated!

Yes - you can change the reply to email address. I added a screenshot of what it should look like.

Let me know if that heps.

1st) The name does not need to match with the email. Technically only the correct domain is important for delivery. We do send in the form “John Doe from Company XY <support@company-xy.org>”, too. Without any delivery issues. ( Ask the support for proper domain setup and check. )

2nd) Bounce Messages are sent to the Return-Path and not to the Reply-To. The Return-Path and bounce messages should be managed by AC … you should not receive any bounce message.

3rd) OOO (= out-of-office ? aka. Autoresponders / Autoreplys ) are sent to “Reply-To” (or “From”, if not set), indeed. You can change it like leadflowagency said.

4th) Consider to Vote the following Idea: https://ideas.activecampaign.com/ideas/AC-I-16826 to get rid of those automated replies.

THANK YOU SO MUCH! I really appreciate the message and I will definitely be taking a look into some of the things you brought up. And yes - OOO means “Out of Office”. Sometimes I get so caught up in writing things that I forget to clarify the acronyms I use.

Thank you so much for the message! I will look into and see if this works.
