Getting started with the forum

Welcome to ActiveCampaign’s Activator Community! We are so excited you’re here to learn, ask questions, and connect with other users to unlock the full potential of the platform and your business growth.

Wondering where to start? You’re in the right place! We’ve outlined a few tips below to ensure you get the most out of your time here.

Categories

Think of categories like the map for finding the answer you need. Our Community is segmented into 6 categories:

Getting started: This will have all the information you need to be successful in the Community and offer tips and tricks on how to navigate your way around. It is also where you can introduce yourself to other Activators and where you can find information on our Superusers. Our Superusers are certified experts on our platform so feel free to use them as a resource and to ask questions based on their specialties.

Ask a question: This one is pretty self explanatory—a space for any and all questions! As we outline in our Community Values, there are no small or unimportant questions. If you have one, likely someone else does too and it’s going to help those searching for the same answer later on. See more on how to post in each category below.

Announcements: This is where you will find the latest announcements from ActiveCampaign, whether its product releases, new integrations, or company news, this category will have the most up-to-date information you need to know!

Feedback: Here we invite you to share your thoughts, suggestions, and ideas to help shape the future of ActiveCampaign. Whether you have a feature request, an improvement suggestion, or even just a small tweak that you think would make a big difference, we want to hear from you!

Collaboration: This category is designed to connect Activators with Certified Consultants and other ActiveCampaign experts who can provide guidance and support on dedicated projects.

Ecommerce: If you’re an ecommerce business, this category is for you! We will regularly be posting helpful content and how-tos and welcome any Activator tips and tricks that could be helpful for others in this industry.

How to add a question or comment in a category:

First, go to the category that aligns closely with your question (when in doubt, post in ‘Ask a question!’).

At the top right, you will see + New Topic. Click that button.

Type the title of your question or comment (we recommend keeping this brief and concise to help others search for the same topic later) and then provide as much context as you need in the space below.

In this pop up, it will also show the category you’ve chosen to post this in. If you’d like to switch, click the dropdown menu and choose another category.

Tagging your post is important so that others can find the answers they are looking for later on. Please tag your post with any relevant tags.

Then, hit ‘Create Topic’ and you will see your post at the top of that category!

To Search

The Activator Community is a wealth of knowledge and information so if you’re looking for an answer, it’s likely already here! The best place to find it is to use the search function. Keywords are important so remember to use ActiveCampaign terminology. Instead of ‘sending emails,’ try ‘campaigns.’ You will likely be able to find the answer you’re looking for by using general terms, but using those familiar to ActiveCampaign users will lead you to it a lot faster.

To browse by tag, click ‘all tags’ at the top of the dashboard and you’ll be able to segment even further if you’d like to peruse our ‘CX Tips’ or see what people are talking about as it relates to email marketing.

To Reply

Once you’re in a specific category, you can click on previous topics to read them in full, ask that Activator questions, etc.

To do so, scroll down and click ‘reply’ on the right hand side.

If someone helped you out, throw them a ‘like’ by clicking on the heart icon next to reply. If you’d like to bookmark a certain post, scroll down to the bottom of that post and click ‘bookmark.’

We hope this information gets you started and on your way to becoming a pro Activator, and please remember we are always here to help along the way!
