I would like to insert an additional form to qualify my leads to whom I will send an email including a link to the form (I already have their email addresses). But I see that it is impossible to delete the “email” field when creating a form.
Or even choose an option to make it a hidden field on the form. For us it causes big problems with people updating EMail addresses as we’ve got other lined apps like Woocommerce etc
Hello there, this is Andres from the Customer Experience team at ActiveCampaign, in the spirit of keeping our customers updated I would like to respond to this question with our most recent information. When you are creating a form the email address field is required and it cannot be removed from your form. This happens because the email address is what differentiates each contact and we need the email address to be present in order to send the information to the correct contact.
However, we have a workaround that you can try, To auto-populate fields in a form through a form submission or tracked link click you can add “?fieldname=%FIELDNAMEPERSONALIZATION%” to the end of the URL to prefill the field upon clicking a tracked link in a campaign or redirecting to a URL via a form submit.
Example: mysite.com is the URL you have tracked in an email campaign, that links you to a page with an ActiveCampaign form on it. That form has 3 fields, email, first name, and birthday in it.
If you make the URL: mysite.comemail=%EMAIL%&firstname=%FIRSTNAME%&birthday=%BIRTHDAY% the fields will auto-populate with the information the contact has in that field. This applies to custom fields as well.
I hope this information was helpful!
