Day 9 | BFCM Abandoned Cart Automation

Last year, we helped customers recover $10.5 million over the course of Black Friday weekend through our abandoned cart automation.

Needless to say, this email series is a MUST for a successful BFCM.

While ecommerce businesses tend to customers and stock the shelves, ActiveCampaign will hustle on your behalf!

An example of this series for BFCM could be:

  • Email 1: The one-hour email that includes a simple reminder, product shots, and single call to action to remind a customer to check out.
  • Email 2: One day later with social proof, a highlight of a different benefit, and/or guaranteed offer.
  • Email 3: Last chance with a coupon, time limit, and reminder to grab products before they disappear.

With this automation, you can trigger the email series when a cart is abandoned and schedule when each email in the series goes out the way you prefer. Set it up in today’s Task of the Day.

Day 9 - Task of the Day:

  1. Navigate to the Automations tab.
  2. Click “Create an Automation” in the top right corner.
  3. Search for “Black Friday” and click “Black Friday - Abandoned Cart” and “Continue” to import the recipe.

  1. Follow the Automation Setup Wizard on the right to complete the integration.

Adjust the timing and messaging for your goals and watch the sales roll in!
