But with the right tools and eye for editing, you can adjust the messages to feel personal and authentic, ensuring your recipients feel valued and connected.
Remember, it’s all about using AI to enhance your voice, not replace it.
When you do this, you can feel confident using AI to help write and enhance your messaging to a broad audience, and to your contacts 1:1, too!
To use AI 1:1 capabilities, you must first connect your email to ActiveCampaign.
Then, you can get started with:
- 1:1 emails (personal emails sent to a single contact from an account user)
- 1:1 automation emails (outbound emails with your connected email account)
- Saved Responses (a solution that lets you create and reuse commonly used phrases in your 1:1 emails and chats and emails that come in through Conversations)
To get started with any one of these, follow these steps:
- From one of the listed features above, click the AI icon.
- In the modal field, provide a prompt. For example, you can type “A thank you for following up and telling them I’ll reach out to them.” The more specific you can be, the better the results you’ll receive.
- Click the “Submit” button.
- Click the green check mark to add the suggested text to your 1:1 email, or click the red “X” to discard the suggested text.
- If the suggestion is not what you are looking for, you can:
- Click the circle arrow icon to retry
- Click into the “Ask AI to change it” field and choose to make the text longer, shorter, or change the tone. You can also type more specific feedback, like “Make it funny,” into the space provided.

Leverage AI to generate your first draft for an automated 1:1 email. Don’t forget to insert personalization tags— like contact, deal, or account information— into the email to make it more relevant and engaging for each recipient.
