Day 1 | School is in Session!

Welcome to the 21-Day Back to School Challenge!

This Challenge is intended to teach you how to map out a successful customer journey and implement the right ActiveCampaign tools and features needed along the way. We’re excited to introduce some opportunities for LIVE learning in this challenge, as well, so be sure to follow along!

We hope you find the material helpful and digestible so that you are empowered to use the platform to the fullest for all of your business needs.

Let’s kick things off with a visual:

This customer journey map is a visual representation of how a customer engages with your business throughout the entire customer lifecycle.

When you map out a customer journey, you can find 3 types of opportunities:

  1. Moments of influence that you didn’t realize existed.
  2. Moments of impact that affect almost every customer.
  3. Moments you can automate.

This is a crucial step to understanding your customer journey. After all, you need to understand how people start their buying decisions and what they do after making their first purchase to follow-up properly.

Today let’s touch on 1 & 2: Awareness and Consideration.

  1. Awareness: This is where customers gain initial awareness of your brand, typically through paid advertising (PPC, social media, etc.) or through organic content marketing efforts. At this stage, most people know the problems they’re trying to solve. It’s your job to reach them!

  2. Consideration: Potential customers have identified their problem and are now actively researching and evaluating different solutions. They’re comparing options and looking into the specifics of what’s available. As you continue getting information from them (opens, clicks, site visits), match it to specific, relevant resources.

Day 1 - Task of the Day:

In today’s Task of the Day, work through this worksheet to map out Stage 1 and 2.

For each stage of the customer journey, think about the current ways your business reaches customers in that stage. Jot these down in the blank boxes underneath each stage. Next, consider what you could add to your customer journey. Jot down these ideas, too!
