I’ve asked the devs to send the form input from that main page (people will enter their car details) into activecampaign, so I can automate follow ups from AC.
A) Should I just create a new list in AC for this site, or rather open a whole new account? If staying with the current account, the links all get our main domain name: durbansouthtoyota - is there any way to add a new domain for the new site?
B) I’ve asked the devs to download the Wordpress plugin to get the integration working. Does the plugin take complete control of the form? ie: the look and feel of the current design. I’d prefer not, as I got them to tweak the field appearances exactly how I want them. I hope we don’t have to redo this.
Site’s looking great - what did you guys build it on? Keep it up!
A.) There isn’t a way to have multiple tracking links per account so the tracking links will begin with durbansouthtoyota. If this is a deal breaker, you might have to get another account but if you are using HTML email, most customers won’t even notice. You can change the sender information and I think that is what matters most.
B.) The Wordpress plugin will insert the forms as they appear in your ActiveCampaign account. If you’ve modified the code to alter the appearance, you’d need to manually insert that code. If you have devs working for you, this shouldn’t be a problem for them at all.
Is the image upload available on all plans? The developers seem to be having an issue uploading an image via the form.
This is their response below:
We have already used the embedded Code. The image that you have used in the code is not for Uploading any file. It is Just an image HTML tag to show an Image, and not to upload any file or image. I hope you understand what I mean.
No, you’re not being a pain - I misread what you were asking - my apologies.
Your devs are correct, it’s just to add an image to your form and not an upload.
At this time, our form builder does not support the upload of images.
I would recommend utilizing Gravity Forms, Wufoo (for a complete submission), or a quick fix for this would be to include a Dropbox link and link the two submissions.
This is Andres from the Customer Experience team here at ActiveCampaign. I apologize we missed this when it was originally posted but I wanted to provide an updated response in case somebody is having the same question. At this time we do not have a way of adding an “upload” field in our forms, I can definitely see how useful it would be to have a feature like this available. So, I’ll be happy to invite you to pass this idea along to the team as a feature request on our ideas page: Internal Ideas & Bug Reporting.
Our developer’s team takes great account of the suggestions registered there for upcoming product updates. We can also integrate with other platforms that allow to have this option on their end.
